President Temer announced 20 million “reais” (about US$ 6 million) in public funding for propaganda in order to convince the Brazilian people about the necessity for cutting social security benefits.
On top of that, president Temer will appoint parliament leaders to become ministers of State and will increase funding for parliamentaries regional interests in order to bring about their support to pass such unpopular bill.
His administration is completely rejected by Brazilian workers. Only 3% of Brazilians support it. Nevertheless, businessmen are behind this move of president Temer.
CSP-Conlutas stands for a general strike in case Parliament decides to go ahead with this reform which will make retirement at least more distant for all Brazilian workers.
